Mastering with SPLAT

My apologies if this has already been asked....

I know there are a lot of 3rd party plugins specifically designed for this, but I'd really like to stay within Platinum if possible (as a hobbyist, I'm just trying to learn the art of Mastering on my own projects).

I'd like to get some Mastering templates setup once I get a good Fx chain going. Of note, I do have IK's T-RackS Deluxe as well as a good 1/2 dozen or more plugins (Master EQ 432, Precision Comp/Limiter, Bus Comp, and lots of EQ's etc...).

What are some Mastering Fx chains you guys use within SPLAT which I can use to get a good starting point?

Hi. I am by no means an expert on the subject..
But I usually use a comp first (Pc4K), then eq (LP EQ,QC, Sonitus or BT), second comp (CA2A, BT FA770 (if color needed) or BT CP2S, PC76U, Sonitus), saturation / reverb (if needed), limiter (Concrete Limiter or BT Brickwall BW2S). I also have Voxengo SPAN on Master bus, for visual guidance.
But it depends on the song, and what I want it to sound like.
    All the best.

Usually, I rely solely on my T-Racks plugs (Linear Phase EQ, Vintage Compressor, Brick Wall Limiter) and Bluecat's metering plugin.

The difference between mixing and mastering tools is pretty narrow. Its how you use it, mastering needs to be sometimes surgical, sometimes gentle. I find all Sonar plugins competent enough, especially quadcurve eq and anything by sonitus. Consider taking some mastering lessons, like at Groove 3. I suppose you dont need to invest in "mastering dedicated" plugins. I have recently counted my compessor/limiters/ gates = 27. And EQs = 7. Way more than enough! The only comp/eq I ever bought is +10 dB, rest is Sonar stock or freebie (like Molot).
