Matching my amp with TH3

I've been enjoying TH3 for years now. I like to think I know it fairly well. So, it came as a surprise how hard it was to match the sound of my amp.

Have you ever tried to do this?

I've been playing with Syntorial on weekends for ages now, so trying to match an amp sim to my amp struck me as child's play.

Not so much.

I play through a fender blues deville 4x10.

I recorded my guitar direct, then sent it through an output on my interface to my amp and recorded the sound of the amp with the Mic in front of the lower right cone using a variety of Mics.

Sm57
Km184
C414
AKG R77
Royer r121

For the sm57 and the r121 I recorded using low, medium and high impedance settings on my Audient ASP 880. I used no filters or EQ.

Then I tried to match the sound in TH3. I used the spring reverb. I futzed with nobs. I tried different amps and Mics. I moved the Mics around.

I think I need to make a video to show this.

I'm not close. I can't help feeling that the problem is me not TH3. For a while I tried reverbs other than the spring, for example.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
