Matching volumes after incorrect mono/stereo interleave settings

Hi -

Mucking around with a WAAAAAY old project last night and managed to bounce together mono clips on a track that had the interleave button set to stereo.

End result was a mono track that is louder than it should be - 2 x mono tracks in a stereo file, I guess.

So the question is, how much do I need to turn it down to make it match the regular mono track level - -6dB????

Confirmation or corrections, gratefully accepted!

Cheers -
