Matrix Vew question

There was a video a while back which showed columns of cells in the MV getting transposed based on some sort of key information in the time line, so for instance, if the cells for a column were playing in the key of A, and then a key change marker was encountered in the timeline, they might shift to the key of D.

I'm thinking this would work with Groove Clips and not Rex files.

Yes, those are called Pitch Markers and they also work with Groove clips.

Thanks Scott.  I figured that Rex would only allow for tempo changes and not pitch.  So I assume one could convert a Rex file into a Groove Clip?

    Hi Peter,

Actually, you can double-click a REX loop to open it in the Loop Construction view. Then click the Follow Project Pitch toolbar button and that should work. I just tried it though and playback seems to skip for me... not sure why.

Another way would be to select the REX loop, choose Clips > Bounce To Clip(s) from the Track view menu. Then press Ctrl + L to convert it to a Groove clip. And then follow the above procedure to make it follow the pitch markers.
