Maximum Output Level dBFS in profile?

Hello guys,

May sound naive but what is this maximum output level measured in dBFS shown below the profile display pic? Is it something to do with our posts? Searched for in forums but did not find anything relevant.

Regards,
Kane

It relates to how many posts a person has. They used to use bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
It was cool being platinum; now I'm just clipping.

Be warned, some of the output may be noise and there is no user SNR to guide us!

    Hi,

It's about how loud we type these comments!

^ This, but it's not using a mathematically correct formula for dB's.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Comparing Bapu's 0dBFS to your -79dBFS he should have almost 5 million posts (if he wasn't such a slacker).

When we reach a point where there is still optimal headroom, we should probably then just shut up.

    Now that's quotable!

I prefer to circumscribe my behavior before I clip someone's good taste limits.
