The early release for May has been out for days. The final release is not available at the moment.http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3613175

I'm tempted to install it, but I'm practicing delayed gratification and restraint.

It's a big release.  No point in hurrying to get it out the door.  I'm happy to wait until it has been fully baked!

It's not the May release. It is the 5th release in 2017. And it is arriving soon, I understand.

RANT=ON:
Every damn' time:
"Oh it's late they should've released in on time."
"Oh, it's full of bugs, they should have waited."
It's a universal truth that you just can't please everyone.
In terms of quality and features I think Cakewalk are totally winning using this new dev/release process. They can take an extra week or two if they want.
RANT=OFF

Looks like it just dropped a few minutes ago.  But essentially every release has this phrase "This month’s release"

This is an exception
