Maybe we can all kindly stop calling it X4. It's just SONAR now.
According to the links provided by CW I see no mention of it as X4 *. It's SOANR Artist|Professional|Platinum. Beepster calls what you install or upgrade a "build" and that is what you will update, a "build". * By way of reference some bakers used the term X4 and X5 (as an analogy) but it's not the product name as I see it.

I've already been saying this in a few threads that are titled X4. I think those dudes are let down that X4 never happened. All the threads that are titles "when is x4 going to be released" will become a curiosity to future people Googling Sonars history. Pirated copies of Sonar x4 will become collectibles.
Scott's X4 Power Book listed on Amazon for the last 6 months too.

Funny thing is it wasn't all that long ago (X1/X2) where it was pretty commonplace for folks on the forum to reference their build number instead of just the version number or patch letter. I think it would be pretty easy to slide back into that and expand on it. Cake just needs to make sure it is prominently displayed somewhere so it's easy to reference just by looking at an open program window... like in the title bar instead of just the About page. They should probably do this for any plugins too to and keep a master list on site that has the release dates of each build for people to reference.
Just my thoughts on it but we, as forum members and users, are definitely gonna have to work some way to communicate efficiently otherwise this place is gonna turn into a confusing poopshow very quickly.
