Me and the dog - Slow acoustic blues

Hi All,
I just finished a short acoustic blues song.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
Had to use an old drum machine that I wasn't too thrilled with but I wanted to get the idea down before it disappeared.

Thanks!

    Tim
Thanks for giving it a listen.
I've been checking out your songs at sound-click and think your songs sound great!
I especially like the smooth jazz and blues.
Your guitar work is excellent and the compositions are really well done.

thanks rebel. Really appreciate the kudos and for listening.
I too have a song I'm workin on about dogs sort of in the same vein so I was particularly attracted:)
Back to your song. Listening again I must nitpic on the lengthy intro (58 sec). I just think you need to get to the story faster. Anyway thanks. Enjoyed it.

Hi Dan, nice song, fun lyrics and good guitar playing.I personally liked the long intro, apart from an annoying buzz, but Tim is right from a songwriting point of view. Maybe the intro would work better as guitar solo in the middle?

    Greetings, Rik

Nicely done Rebel...I enjoy listening to the Blues and this wasn't any different. The harmonies were quite nice as well.

Rik - Thanks for listening. I like to try different things when I record. I was going to put a solo between verse 1 - 2 and opted to drop it and try a full intro and solo out. I like the way the song rolls but I think Tim was right about a shorter lead in and getting into the story quicker.
Tony - Thanks for checkin' it out. I'm still working on getting a good drum sound.
Mesh- Thanks for listening and thanks for your comments!
Reece- Love the flying beagle! Thanks for listening.I'm glad everyone enjoyed the song.
The people in this forum give me a lot of inspiration. There's a lot of really good musicians here and they know a lot about creating songs and recording.
    Thanks

Now you're in my zone, buddy!  I love writing different types of tunes but when I jam, this and hard rock are my favs.  Nice job, brother.  now go take care of that dog.  Love the poodle line!  You might listen to our "Broke Again Blues".  It's something like this.  You might enjoy it.   PRS?

I love it!  Great blues, great voice and great playing.  I'm hearing the buzz through-out it, but only because Rik mentioned it.  :-) Great song!

Warren - thanks for listening and for your comments.I have a strange sense of humor that I like to combine with song writing.Kind of a doggie double date!
I checked out your "Broke Again Blues" and liked it,but I couldn't resist " Let the hippies dance".With a title like that I had to give it a listen.Really liked it a lot.Liked the fiddle and mandolin too.I think we share an appreciation for fun songs.
No PRS.It's a Carvin Carved top CT6M.Great guitar!(didn't use it on this song)

Janet - Thanks for giving the song a listen.I appreciate you comments.I think I was pushing the strings too hard and it wound ups giving it a buzzing sound.I was trying to get a slight string popping sound on the lead guitar, but I didn't get the exact results I was looking for.Glad you liked it.
