Media Browser - Clip - Insert at now time problem.

So, I've used cake walk for years and one of the things I've always done is to drag and drop clips from the media browser into my project.  In the past, it's always put the clip right where I want it.  Either at the now time or where I drop it on the track.
 
Now, It's putting the clip WAY WAY out hundreds of measures out.  Consistently.  My project isn't even that long, but it is always putting it way out there.
 
Is there some kind of setting I've managed to screw up  or is this some kind of known bug?
 
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, it's kind of driving me crazy right now.
