Mekolypse
This is one that I played guitar and bass on switching guitars and sounds throughout. I am still learning guitar so you guys playing since diapers I know I'm not all that yet lol. I intend to get faster and better at it. I did not comp any of the guitar tracks and there are a few small flubs I picked up on but they seemed too small to worry about. I am hoping to get my speed up in the future. Any comments or crits welcome here. http://soundcloud.com/starise/mekolypse I had this up on my site before I had finished with the drum track and it had a few listens then. I hope whoever listened to it will try it again as I did some more work on the mix.

I can hear that you're learning to play. as you evolve, you'll hear the melodies, and chord voicings which play off of either other. It's like geometry in math (very similar) and timing, intervals, etc. The guitar work hear has some room to grow, but that's OK. Stick with it. Pick songs you like? And learn to play them well, and your knowledge will grow and your confidence.

The mix on this is really good. You got some great tones going there on the guitars too. Not bad at all for still being in the learning stage. The only difference between you and those of us who have been playing for years is, we're better at editing in Sonar than you are.

Nice tone on the guitar and really good mix. For the guitar need to work on more precise timing. You could edit the track and snap the notes.

This is one very good guitar lesson. You're on the road to guitar bliss. I echo what has been said about the mix. Nice job.

TheBand19- I appreciate insightful encouraging comments. It gives me some hope that I'll start to improve. I don't intend to quit no matter how bad I sound lol. Bob,Beags and Daryl- I appreciate you stopping by and giving this a listen. Vechung- Thanks for that suggestion. I plan to give auto snap another try. Thanks for listening. Lynn- Thanks man. At least I'm on the road right? I think I may have finally started to nail a decent mix and how to get there.X2 certainly has the necessary tools.

Mix is great!!! Love the vibe and theme...reminds of an oceans12 movie theme. You have a musical mind...no question. Subjectively, tightening up the chops *might* add consistency but will it add appeal....who knows... All I know is that I enjoyed it. Cheers, keep on laying it down!!!

I don't like the idea of learning a new instrument.....after all it is a lot of work... nice job on this... BTW... I'm working on learning the mandolin and knocking off the rust on my piano skills.... yeah, it's a lot of work but it's fun too.
