I laughed so hard I about hurt myself... It's basically the same sale..they're just doing 5 plugins instead of 4... and I'm sure there will be a bundle or two in there...

For those who may be able to answer, I'm wondering about the differences between the following: MAutoEqualizer MDynamicEq MAutoDynamicEq The description for each starts the exact same way about Eq. I can't really afford all 3, even when they come on for 50%, of which the first one is on now and only for a few more days - at least for this go-around.

Get MAutoDynamicEqualizer...it fills all those rolls...it's a beast... One of the most comprehensive plugins I've seen... It's an Equalizer, It's a compressor, an Analyzer, and it will profile Audio to give you the EQ curve used on a given song for matching. Read Dave's (bitflipper) article in this months issue of SoundBytes for a comprehensive overview...it's part two, but you can go back to part 1 also... http://soundbytesmag.net/...ductionmautodynamiceq/This has to be one of the best plugins ever made IMO...

I'll second Larry's suggestion: MAutoDynamicEQ does it all. However, if you don't need the spectrum-matching feature, MDynamicEQ is a more cost-effective buy. It's the one that gets used most here, and has even replaced Pro-Q as my go-to equalizer.

Agree with Dave...if money is a concern then by all means get MDynamicEQ...
They'll both probably hit the Eternal Sale sometime soon!

Thanks Buds - yes, I'm watching the eternal sales now for these things. That's why I'm asking, because I believe the sale period on this bunch of plugs ends on the 17th. I'm currently reading through Dave's article(s) from the link above. It's a great read - thanks Dave!

Some of the products are in the Blowout shop...
But the prices are the same as on the website... so if you don't want to wait for it to go on sale in the Webshop, you can check the blowout shop and see if it's there....

OK Gents, so I already have MDynamicEq included in the MMixingBundle that I got last month. So any point or need to get any of the others - specifically MAutoEqualizer, which is still on until tomorrow? I see that MSpectralDynamics is popular also, which I just missed out on for now. I should mention that I do have the following Voxengo plugs, [among others - Maag Eq4, MixControl Pro, etc]: CurveEq V2 Elephant V3 GlissEq HarmoniEq Span Soniformer Voxformer although I find Voxengo's interfaces a bit confusing to navigate through.

If you've got the Mixing Bundle then it's going to come down to
WANT/NEED
so that's going to be a personal decision...
Most of what can be done with any of these can be done with the plugins that come with your DAW. But, it may take 3 or 4 to what one of these does...so there's the conundrum...

I've had the Mixing Bundle for a while, and haven't felt the need to acquire any other Melda plugs. The spectrum matching feature in MAutoDynamicEQ is cool, but that Voxengo Curve EQ has a similar thing. So I'd say you're covered. I may change my mind if Bitflipper's upcoming writeup on MSpectralDynamics convinces me that it's a must-have. Cheers, Eddie

MAutoEqualizer would, IMO, be redundant given that you already have CurveEQ. MSpectralDynamics, however, is unlike anything else you have. There is very little out there like it. In fact, just one comparable product that I've found (and I've been looking) and that's the Dynamic Spectrum Mapper (DSM) product. That one's $329. Melda's is pricey, too, but fifty bucks less than DSM and 200 bucks less when it goes on sale.
