Melda Update to 9.08

All MeldaProduction effects and MPowerSynth have been officially updated to 9.08, which comes with several new improvements, features (PowerSynth FX inside MXXX & MPowerSynth, autoset band limits, filter panorama...) and some fixes. It is recommended to install this update.
The update is free as always and you can install it simply by downloading and using the newest installer from our download page.
2 new plugins have also been released. First the free MBitFun, a brutal bit distortion, and it's multiband version MMultiBandBitFun, which is free for MTotalBundle and MCreativeBundleowners, otherwise available for an introductory price as usual.

    deja vu ;-)

would be good if they were less frequent like others unless there are really severe bugs.

Would like to uninstall Melda. Anybody knows whether there's an uninstaller?

    How do you always know?

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Are you not going to use Melda's plugins anymore or just for the update?

One reason updates have been so frequent lately is that Vojtech is aggressively adding new features to MXXX.  Other than users of MPowerSynth or the MXXX beta, most folks could just ignore the frequent updates.  However, one recent one (forgot which, maybe 9.06) added some UI improvements that addressed some of the most frequent complaints about Melda gear.

Plus, the new installer really makes the whole process pretty painless.

I like that they give us updates as often as they can. I too would prefer that they don't need to but I believe this company really cares about their product and leave it to us to decide if we want to install the latest or not.

I do really like a number of their plugs and it is easy to update.

You don't have to keep the entire bundle in your vstplugins folder. I have, I think, only four or five plugins from the free bundle installed. Once upon a time, you had to install the entire bundle, but Melda's new installer makes it easy to just update the plugins you need.

Sweet, cheers Bit. You hear me coming: do I uninstall manually (on a Mac)? Which ones would you hang onto?

Lemme see what I kept...hmm, more than I thought...

MOscillator and MNoiseGenerator, for generating test tones.

MLoudnessAnalyzer, just in case I ever give a rat's ass about LUFS.

MTremolo, the one I actually use most. Can't believe it's free.

MPhaser, MVibrato and MFlanger, because they're good enough that I might use them someday.

MAutoPan, which I just forgot was in there. I'll remove it, because nothing beats PanCake2.

MLimiter, a leftover from long ago when I used to use it regularly - not for limiting, but for its harmonic distortion feature. I might have to revisit it and see if it still deserves a seat at the table.

Oh, and to uninstall just delete the DLLs and re-scan.

PanCake2 looks like a terrific tool. And it's free! Thanks for sharing!

I'm one of those who still like separate installs for each plugin.  I make less mistakes that way. Sometimes installers don't keep track of where you installed something.
