Melda Vocoder crashes Melda Vocoder?

Goodness me.

I demo'd it this morning on a x86 install of Audition on my laptop.

Only two of the many presets even output sound when I tried to "effect" some spoken word which I was using for the demo. I used one of those presets that output sound to make a bad imitation of a robot voice and when I hit ok to process the render Audition said "not gonna happen", so I tried another VST and Audition processed it as normal. I tried the Vocoder again, and this time none of the presets would output a signal.

Vocoder doesn't crash Audition, it just crashes Vocoder.

Win 7 x64, Intel i7, 8GB memory.

The kicker was when I uninstalled it the dialog said something like "We left some crap on your computer, but don't worry it's harmless".

I hope I remember this the next time I am tempted. It seems, from my two recent experiences, as if Melda is selling the promise of endless opportunities to be creative while over looking the core idea that stuff just do what it says it does.

I wish I had Camtasia. I could do a review/tutorial of my experience with the demo software and send it with a job application

Mvocoder works great here, in Sonar X3e, 64 bit.

    That's good news. :-)

I'm glad I demo'd it before paying for it, because then I'd expect to work on my system too.

I found all the leftovers and deleted them and have moved on.
