Mellower than Mellow

http://soundcloud.com/austinw90/headroom Thanks to everyone who critiqued my last song. In this mix, after learning from my compression mistakes, I didn't really squish it all. I just put a limiter on and set it a little below where the snare peaks.

Although, this is only a partial song, it breathes and sounds quite natural.  The guitar tone is excellent.  I look forward to hearing a complete version.

    All the best,

I would roll the bass back a bit. It is the dominant force in the song when it should not be. Otherwise this sounds not to bad. Missing a bit of twinkle in the highs, but not so much that its glaring.

Now that's cool!  How'd you do the drums?

Maybe bring the lead guitar up a little?  Seems like I'd want to hear that in my face.

    Really nice!
