Is this just a free update or a paid upgrade?

It should be stated in your account. My upgrade was free when I purchased Editor after upgrading from Essential which was included free when I bought Studio One. I had transferred my license to iLok so today when 2.0 was released I had to surrender the older license & download the new.

yorolpal Is it worth it? In my case yes, when I got Essential free in Studio One I got an offer to upgrade to Editor for 149.00. That also included this upgrade to 2.0.

Well... I would hope that for a C-Note it would do more new stuff than just "stay open and not hang". But you can't ask for miracles I suppose.

Sometimes I would gladly pay just to get software that actually worked ALL the time.

Does the plugin still have the loop issues? If so, what about the rewire version?

Nope...it was a false email. I had a snafu not too long back in my account regarding Melodyne Assistant that's too long a story to tell. I don't own Assistant...I own Editor. Suffice to say that Melodyne thinks I DO own Assistant and that's what was waiting in my account...only it isn't...as it shouldn't be.

As YOU should be. What happened was I had UNO before I upgraded to Editor when it first came out. In fact, when Editor would balk as a VST sometimes for simple pitch correction I'd just use UNO in standalone mode. Anyways Celemony sent me an email sayin I could upgrade my UNO to the new Assistant for nearly nothin. So I did. Only they failed to say that if you already owned Editor that the newest version of it made owning Assistnat moot. When I discovered this they graciously refunded my money for Assistant. Which should've ended the story. But somewhere at Celemony there's a computer that still thinks I have/own Assistant and sends me emails regarding it. This new email said I have a free update to Assistant 2.0 waiting in my account. Which, of course, I don't. And if I want to update my Editor to 2.0 just like you (did I just say that??) it will cost me $99 semolians. I'm waitin.
