Melodyne 4 Update
Any word on the Melodyne 4 update yet, or are they still working on the bug? I'm waiting to do the update until the bugs are worked out. It's been several weeks now. Anyone hear anything? John B

Well then I guess the issues are still not settled. I just know that every time I try to run it I get sent to their website to remind me that THERE IS AN UPDATE AVAILABLE!!!!!!! Like they're trying to shove it up your butt. I will continue to resist until I hear from more than one of the guys on this board say it's safe to proceed. JB

I was also tired of the opening browser with the update message! But I have found out, how to avoid it: 1. Open Melodyne and "Settings > Preferences" 2. Select "Check for Updates" in the combo box on top 3. Set the value to "Manually" instead of "Automatically" That's it! Marc

Hey, Thanks! I think I'll do that. JB

I don't know why they've become such a non-communicative company. They closed the forum, which surely will have resulted in a big increase in support requests for the same bugs? I got an acknowledgement from Ulf when I emailed about the algorithm default not sticking and a response that a fix will 'take a while'. How unhelpful is that?

Got to agree with that. It's not like this is cheap software. I had an issue when version 4 first came out which made Melodyne unusable for months. Once bitten twice shy; so I have stayed on version 4.1.1 this time and turned off updates until I hear that a fix has been issued without any major bugs. I also keep my previous installers.
