Melodyne 4 tempo map to sonar problem

I am frustrated. I picked up Melodyne 4 Studio and I am trying import its tempo map to Sonars project tempo map. I have been trying to figure out how to do it for a couple days with no success. I have found a youtube how to do it in Presonus one but nothing for Sonar. The only thing I have found in sonar is using Audiosnap.

Can anyone point me to a path?

Here is part of the email I received from Melodyne, in response to my similar question:

    Dear [me],

at the moment there is no way in Sonar to get the tempo found by Melodyne directly to the host, if Melodyne is running in ARA mode inside of Sonar.

But the good news is, that there is a workaround to get the tempo in Sonar:
    - open the file in question in the Melodyne standalone
    - as soon as the tempo is found you can export the tempo map as a MIDI file

    - to import the tempo map, right click on the MIDI file and select "Open With” and then Sonar
    - now you should have an empty Sonar project
    - open the Tempo view in Sonar (Alt+Shift+5)
    - now you have the tempo map transferred to Sonar

I'm sorry that the picture isn't showing up.

    skinnybones, Thanks

I tried the workaround. It is awkward but works. I hope Celemony and Cake work a straight forward solution. They seem to have a good relationship.

In the meantime, I will use this solution. Thanks again.

You're very welcome. By the way, in another thread, someone commented:

That sounds like a reasonable workaround, but it would be even more brilliant if it could all be done internally with Studio running as a plugin. Hmm. I'm going to install the demo and play around a bit...

and Noel Borthwick responded by saying something very encouraging:

We have plans of improving this part of the ARA integration in a future release. It shouldn't be very difficult

I have my fingers crossed! I hope the "future release" is very near in the future :)
