Melodyne Editor 4 Upgrade won't install...
I'm running Sonar Platinum with Melodyne Essentials, all was well. I logged into Melodynes site and purchased and download Melodyne Editor 4 for 99 dollars because I already had purchased Melodyne Editor 3 years ago. And I could see that the Essentials didn't have all the features I wanted. I made sure to use the link provided after my purchase, but after installation, I noticed that I have Studio and not Editor. I uninstalled ALL Melodyne products from my computer, redownloaded Melodyne 4.0.4.004 which they say is Editor 4, reinstalled, and I still have Melodyne Studio and not Melodyne Editor 4. Anyone else experience this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would not complain I did the same thing, as I had Melodyne Editor 2 which I had upgrade from the Essentials 2 that came for free with SONAR. I purchased Editor 4 and it is calling itself Studio 4 which is the next program level up. The difference seem to be the standalone is called Studio 4 and the plugin is called single track Editor 4 though the help about in the plugin calls it self Studio 4 too. When the Melodyne 4 versions came out there was an offer to upgrade to Melodyne Studio version for about the same price as upgrading to Melodyne Editor, seemed like they were giving it away and really wanted us all to have the Studio version, so I went for it . . . just go with it, since Melodyne Studio is the complete top line product with more features than Editor version.

i had some serious installation issues w/Melodyne 4 a few months ago, (which their tech support gave up on), but nothing like that! what is Celemony saying? Melodyne Studio 4 > Melodyne Editor 4. contact them & put the ball in their court. they should feel motivated, monetarily, to assist you

Thanks everyone. Yes, finally figured out that they WANT me to have Studio, it seems. I should have checked to see that Studio is a bit more feature filled than Editor, but I was thinking Cakewalk (because Studio was always a lower version than Producer). I should have left it, but I tinkered, uninstalled, installed demo version and added s/n till I got Editor in and activated. Don't really need the 3 or 4 really advanced features anyway. They should be more clear on their site though.
