Hi, Does an upgrade from X3 Producer to Platinum qualify for a new Melodyne Essential license for the current version (4)? Thanks in advance, G

According to https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Versions , yes it does. It's listed under "Tools & Editing" as "Melodyne Essential". Click on the little orange "1" and it will take you you to Sonar's Melodyne 4 Essential page.
Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram . PCR-800 Controller. (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)CPU: i5 4670. Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers). Hi, Just an fyi... I don't think you need to upgrade to Platinum to qualify for the Melodyne Essential upgrade. I use X3e Producer and have Essential version 4. I'm not discouraging you from upgrading to Platinum, though. I would upgrade in a heartbeat if the funds were there.

Yes it does, upgrading to Platinum will get you the latest Melodyne 4 Essential.
