Melodyne - How to hear a selected individual "blob"?

Plugin, Percussion mode
Solo the Melodyne track, playback works.
Select an individual note = no sound. (does it not work like when clicking a MIDI note and changing the pitch?)
How to hear a selected individual "blob"? There is a meter showing that there is sound when a blob note is clicked.

You should just be able to click a blob and it will sound.

Essentially clicking on it selects it (and it might make little "bloop"). Clicking and holding the click should make that "bloop" sound until you release the mouse button.

If this is not happening then something else is going on. I was just playing with Melodyne (2 Essentials) the other day and this was working fine.

    Cheers.

PS: Check your downstream busses or try another blob (maybe the signal is not getting to your hardware outputs or the blob you selected is really quiet).

Is the track in record mode? I don't think you will hear the sound if so.

You need to enable Input Echo.

    ???

    I haven't had to.

I do see OP mentioned "Plugin" so maybe they are tossing it in the FX Bin/Rack. I've never used it like that.

select audio track> Region FX> Melodyne> Create region FX
    I appreciate the suggestions. :)
"You should just be able to click a blob and it will sound."
    I agree.
    Input Echo= ON
if the track is soloed, and playback Transport or melodyne is used, sound is correct and Melodyne level is correct.
When an individual blob is selected, the level indicates a sound is triggered, yet there is no sound.

Hmm... try restarting the project and/or do a test in another project and/or select a smaller clip to create the Region FX.

Also maybe (if you are selecting the entire track) that's doing something weird? I usually select a single clip (not the track or multiple clips) and work that way. I also don't leave multiple Melodyne clips open (I bounce  immediately after I make my changes). I also keep my interface buffers fairly high when working with Melodyne.

Just prattling off all the things I do that seem to work so you can compare to how you are doing things/test it in other scenarios. Not sure if it will help at all.

If the track meter is triggering though that does seem like something down stream is getting muted/silenced once you solo the track.

    Cheers.

Also depends on where you click on blob too close to the beginning you will not here anything the more to the end of the blob the more of the blob you hear.

I've always had issues with melodyne version 3 (editor) where they blobs work sometimes when clicked, and then all of a sudden they stop working, and nothing can get it back until I reload sonar.  I really wish that would not happen, but I have not been able to find a solution. Fortunately its more an annoyance than a fatal error.

In the Melodyn menus , Options-Note Editor-Monitor When Editing Blobs must be checked.

hmm, so far "Options" is not an option, here is the list:
settings, edit, algorithm, view, help (+ all the hidden icon based sub menus)
