Melodyne Single Track using ReWire in X1d
Hi there, As Melodyne plugin is so unstable in X1 due to the admitted leakage bug thats still awaiting a fix from Celemony, I believe rewire can be used. Does anyone know what to do in a step by step process. I've fiddled around but not sure what I'm doing. I'm ok with both X1 and Melodyne, its the process of of using Rewire to get Melodyne to work as a chennel insert that I need help with. This would really be appreciated. cheers. Pagey.

go to the browser click the instrument tab and click the rewire button it will show up as long as you are running Sonar and Melodyne at the same bit rate on your os. meaning you can't rewire a 32 bit melodyne into a 64 bit version of Sonar or vice versa. At least this is how Reason works and I know the bit thing with rewire works that way too for all rewire enviroments
Kevwestbeats.com Sonar X1 Studio, Native Instruments Maschine MK2, Akai Miniak, Behringer BCF 2000, Ableton Live 8 and Reason 6 user with a load of plug ins Core i7 Laptop 2.2ghz with 8 gigs of ram.

Open Sonar (must be the 64 bit version) first - insert Rewire device - you should see Melodyne as an option

btw- Melodyne is Native 64 bit. Version 1.3 Using 64 bit will help. Although since X1d I cannot FASTBOUNCE with Melodyne. Strange. Works as expected with 8.53.

I have tried Rewire with Melodyne but this is my problem - please tell me there is a way around it. I have a dual monitor set up. When I open Melodyne and drop it onto the other monitor, if I mouse click on the 1st monitor, Melodyne minimizes. I have been trying out Reason recently and when you rewire it, there is an 'always stay on top' option to keep it visible. This allows you to drag and drop audio to and from reason. I am using Melodyne Essential (single track) Please someone, tell me there is a way to fix this.

Hey guys. I really appreciate your time taken to reply. Yep I'm 64 bit Sonar X1d and Melodyne here. I can open up Melodyne single track vie rewire, but what do I do next. Can anyone give me a step by step, ie capturing the data to edit, will it play in time as I edit and then how do I bounce the edited blobs. Probable very simple but just a basic step by step wouyld really help me. Much appreciated. BTW, yes fast bounce for Melodyne is knackered in X1d. I'm having to real time bounce.
