Melodyne Update

Hey guys...I updated to Melodyne 4 editor. Now I've got an offer to upgrade to Melodyne 4 studio for $50. Is it worth it?
Thanks! Danny

    YES!!!

I use the multitrack, standalone Studio version all the time. Love it!

For an app with a stoopid list price around $850, $50 is an excellent way to get the top-of-the-line version over the $500 version.

I did it - have not really had time to use the features yet, but I know they'll be useful.

I don't know what 50 bucks is worth to you, nor which features you'd use. I like it.

Check out the Celemony  web site (the producers of Melodyne) to see the features this will add to your current Melodyne 4 editor.  Like the others above, I say to get it (particularly at that price).  If you keep on making music, you really will want this later!

Editor doesn't have the fancy sound manipulation tools, with the EQ, Overtones, etc that Studio has, right?

I'd say that part is worth it.  It seemed really process intensive when I was manipulating things as a plugin, but got some really cool sounds with it that could then be bounced down to a track to free up that processing power.

When I upgraded to Melodyne Studio 4 (From Editor 2) a while back, it really was a no brainer, since there was hardly any price difference to just upgrade from Editor 2 to Editor 4. Seems they really want us to have the full Studio version, by making it so affordable . . . ah temptation . . . so I went for it, and have really been pleased with the stability and extra features included. I've used every new feature included, and especially like the stand alone version.

Cakewalk by Bandlab, Cubase, RME Babyface Pro, Intel i7 3770K @3.5Ghz, Asus P8Z77-VPro/Thunderbolt, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 250 GB OS SSD, 2TB HDD samples, Win 10 Pro 64 bit, backed up by Macrium Reflect, Novation Impulse 61 Midi Key Controller, Tannoy Active Near Field Monitors, Guitars by Vantage, Gibson, Yamaki and Ovation.

This is the Cakewalk site . . . why not just go to the Celemony site, see what's available for you depending on which version you own.

Cakewalk by Bandlab, Cubase, RME Babyface Pro, Intel i7 3770K @3.5Ghz, Asus P8Z77-VPro/Thunderbolt, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 250 GB OS SSD, 2TB HDD samples, Win 10 Pro 64 bit, backed up by Macrium Reflect, Novation Impulse 61 Midi Key Controller, Tannoy Active Near Field Monitors, Guitars by Vantage, Gibson, Yamaki and Ovation.

Why not noynekker? Because I thought this was a site helping users, help each other! Apparently you think differently! I'd rather not search through pages of info, if I can get directly to what I'm looking for with the help of a fellow user. Hope this explanation helps.

It would at least be helpful if you let us know which version of Melodyne you are currently running so we can possibly do the legwork for you.

$50 is from Editor to Studio, not from Essential.

Editor does not have all the functions Studio has, though it has most of them.  This is not included in Editor 4:  "Sound Editor – Change the timbre by adjusting the balance between partials"

    http://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/editions-and-technical-matters

If you can upgrade from Editor 2 to Studio 4 for $112 then that is the best upgrade price I've heard of on this.

The $50 is the difference from Editor 2 -> Editor 4 and Editor 2 -> Studio 4. The deal till 4/30 is $100 and $150 respectively.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Upgraded today, fixed up a vocal track this arvo for the vocalist to go back and learn before final tracking, and was simply stunned at how much better 4 is than 2. I've gone from editor 2 to 4 studio, only just scratched the surface of what it is capable of doing, and already thinking the $149 is worth every penny.

Just my opinion of course, but if you are still thinking of this, go for it if you can afford it.

Just paid my 50 Euros, did the download as directed, opened a region in Sonar and the link to authorise takes me to a link with two options:  'Buy Melodyne' or authorise a demo for 30 days!!
Great, thanks Melodyne.   Anyone know how to authorise my updated version?
