Melodyne in Utilties Menu

There is a way to edit the registry to get standalone programs to be launched from Sonar's utilitie menu. I have done so with Melodyne, and it shows up in the menu but when I try to launch it, I get a message "Cannot create process". Has anyone else had any success with this?

    Can't Melodyne be run as a plug-in?
why would you want to launch the stad alone from within Sonar?

I don't want to use it as a plugin, I just want to edit certain phrases outside of Sonar so as not to tax Sonars resources. And, BTW, this routine (like many others) works flawlessly in Reaper. In fact in Reaper, I have directed it to keep the original unedited item as a take.
This really should work in Sonar, and perhaps I did something wrong with the registry edit, but I've checked and rechecked numerous times....

    Hey jaydrake,

This is what you're looking for. The reference to the Tool's menu should read as "Utilities" under Sonar X1 .

Aaah, I see you have used the same article I was referring you to.

Did you double check the accuracy of the path you specified to the Melodyne executable?

Another option to consider would be to first clone the track in Sonar and do all your edits to the new cloned track.  I do this as a rule so I always have an unedited original version to fall back on without having to go back to the original saved project version.   You can mute or archive and/or hide the original track to protect an original copy.  I also, usually, save /clone a copy before any freeze/bounce to clips so that if I have a quick method of backtracking if I overlooked anything(which is often) .

I do not know, how using both program simultaneously, would impact the overall resources available to Sonar.
