Melodyne not working with all tracks / track lane icon highlight

I want to try and edit vocals with Melodyne. On one vocal- track I can select a region and apply Melodyne as a region FX. On another vocal track I can't, the option Create region FX is greyed out. When comparing the tracks I see no difference other than the track lane icon is blue-ishly highlighted in the track that Melodyne doesn't work with. What does this highlight mean? The track had two take lanes which I deleted one of. There is only one clip (mono).
 
On a meta-level: What is the fastest way to find an answer for questions like this? I tried
1. Help in the menu bar -> just directs you to TOC on the website -> used search field -> no answer in articles provided
2. Searched the forum but no results!? It sometimes seems the search engine gives little results, but maybe I'm not searching correctly
I also read tutorials (eg on SOS) and buy instruction video's. Now I started with the Melodyne Sonar tutorial. But I'm not using Sonar X3 often enough and everytime I do, I encounter problems that really discourage me to start again. Everytime I'm struggling with the software and not making music.So any tips for finding solutions or creating a good workflow are appreciated.

    Upload to something like tinypic.com and paste in the URL where you were trying to upload. This site does not support uploading sadly.
    When searching try Google and add 'site:forum.cakewalk.com' to your criteria.
     
    With the clip you are having trouble with It's possible you've already converted the clip to melodyne. Try double clicking it. If that does not work try bouncing it down first.

    - I used the suggested google-phrase. Google also searched my Evernote and came up with an answer in one of my Evernote items: the blue-ish take lane icon means a collapsed take lanes with content. I only have one take lane left but that still counts for SONAR

    You can edit the dupe posts delete the text and put a full stop or something to clean up this thread.
     
    Here is a tutorial I recommend for beginners (just $15 if you are able to complete 4 hours of tutorials in 30 days, or $40 to download) it is worth every penny, I recommend going through this start to finish to get the best return for your investment, and afterwards you can consider yourself a Sonar X3 advanced user.
