Melodyne notes flying all over the place

Tonight I was playing around with Melodyne using some samples from the free Cakewalk content. All was going well for a while. Then all of a sudden, if I tried dragging notes up or down a semitone in pitch, they would just fly up and down the screen to the highest and lowest register at breakneck speed. You can imagine what it sounded like.  I tried multiple audio clips and they all acted the same. Problem didn't go away until I'd closed and relaunched the project.

Anyone else seen this?

    Flying blobs?  Yikes!
Have not seen this.  Was your mouse or keyboard stuck?  Very strange indeed!
