Melodyne on guitar - anyone else having better results with flatwound strings?

Purely anecdotal, but I think I'm getting slightly better Melodyne pitch recognition on guitar (especially polyphonic) since I put flatwounds on my Tele. Probably due to them having more fundamental and less overtones, probably. Anyone else?
