I'm trying to decide if I'd use it enough to make it worth the price.

What is the cost in US dollars? I was going to do the Holiday bundle upgrade to Producer / Melodyne for $299, but I waited too long deliberating whether I could afford it, and then Cakewalk bundle offer ended. This would have been handy, because I would not have had to use my credit card in Europe.

scook According to their website the upgrade from Essential to Editor is $149 through the end of the month http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.php?id=upgradesm click on the "You have: Melodyne essential" under Upgrades for details
Thanks for the info. Do you know if you would typically have to notify your credit card company prior to paying if you live in the US ?

It should not be a problem. At least, I have never had trouble buying from European stores.

Hi, all... very on the fense on the upgrade to editor, as I have plugin overload/financial zerodum... I have another week to upgrade as just installed/registered melodyne...and got the offer I am a songwriter, running solo... do all my own vocals and music... alreadyhave all of antare's stuff...which I haven't used much... Usually I tweak timing errors and such the old fashion way in pianoroll...and I'm usually vocally intune, although I routinely make loads of player errors on the keyboard... timing, intended notes and the like... I've read all the comments on upgrading to editor and still don't see a real reason for me...but recognize my own stupidity at times... I am going to be devoting much more time this year to music, due to me reducing my work schedule...will I regret passing on this or why is it a "somehow find the money" sitch? My ultimate aim is to create more awesome music impacting climate issues...if it will really save me time polishing my memes, I'll find a way... Any thoughts are most appreciated...

Does anyone know if you still have 10 days or what ever it is from the time you buy / install X3 Producer to be able to upgrade to Melodyne Editor? Things are so nuts at work, I don't think I could upgrade to X3 and install it in time to make the Jan 31st deadline for the $149 Melodyne Editor upgrade. I'm hoping the time limit to upgrade to Editor is a rolling window for anyone who installs X3 with Essential for the first time.

Hey, pb... Actually, you have 10 days from the time you REGISTER Melodyne with Celemony... so, you can run X3 as long as you want and it's the Resistration of Melodyne which triggers the 10 day email... I'm kicking myself for registering as I have other priorities and haven't even used it yet... so, Don't register/use Melodyne till you got da coin! Lots of other stuff to do with X3... enjoy and wait... it is a computer generated email response to the registration.... Enjoy!

Thanks for the advice. I would upgrade to Editor for $149, but I can't rush things right now - I just don't have the time and I don't want to start the 10 day countdown.

Make no mistake, this really is an amazing piece of software and well worth it's rrp let alone the half price deal. I'm sure there will be other opportunities to buy it cheap but if you can, go for it, it's talents reach way beyond pitch correction alone. In fact.... It's so good, I can use it to change my wife's no into a yes within seconds....

The question is: can you change your wife's no to a yes to upgrade to Editor? Hmmm, it's monophonic, so I guess if you have Essential, the answer would be yes
