Melodyne..Solved

-It's been so long since I first got it that I don't know exactly how long I've
been screwing around with it.

They recently offered the 64 bit upgrade so I upgraded and as I expected
more time into dealing with it's issues.

This time it's Sonar's plug in manager will not load the 64 bit. It will load the 32 bit.
Both open alright as standalone.

And to top it off Celemony has changed the name again...now it's found as Melodyne singletrack and
the .dll's are nowhere to be found. Of course one may find it (singletrack) in program files, program files (x86) and
would think it would be easy enough to point Sonar's plugin manager to either or both with no issues.

Since it automatically installed both the 32 and 64 bit one can't head off the issue should it be one.
Lucky me. It really has turned into a bad joke spending so much time dealing with it.

I've emailed their support so maybe they can explain it.

Wow... I just did the upgrade they offered. I am working in 32 bit so I loaded that one on both the DAW and the lappy DAW. Installation was quick and painless. It came up working after a quick "register with the servers" and worked like a champ.

The one issue was on the lappy.... "you have exceeded the number of licenses" ... a quick email to customer support, a few hours later I checked email and the message from them simply said, please try to register it again... and it worked just fine.

Yeah, they did change the format of delivery a bit.... one file ... but everything I needed was there and it was all automatic by following the instructions.

I've got my 64bit editor working.  But I had to track down the .dll file and move it to my VST folder.  It's there but in a strange place.  I found it by reading a thread in the 8.5 Producer forum.  Try searching there.  I'll see if I can find the original folder again and report back.

    Thanks Pal.
They hid them pretty good I'd say.

Herb...I'm happy for you but the problem isn't with 32 bit. Read again.

yeah I saw that.... I was just saying my 32 bit installed fine.... I am not looking forward to the day when I am forced to jump to 64 bit.... actually, it will probably be 128bit by then....

    Finally found the .dll

    Program files-Common Files-VST2-Celemony-Melodyne....

Added path to Plug-in Manager and no problem however it doesn't
seem to be the same as other programs offering 32 and 64 bit as
both of them are not listed and there is no visual indicatin it is 64 bit.
I had to open Melodyne and check ( Help>About)
