Memorial Day

My heartfelt thanks are simply not enough.  I lift you up in praise, those who are currently serving, those who have served in the past and especially those who gave their lives or were injured in any way in the service of our great nation.

Bless you all this Memorial Day.  This day of rememberance.

I implore each of you to stop even for a minute today and think/pray/meditate or whatever you're comfortable with, but just stop for a moment and consider those in uniform both past and present.

Remember today will be a holiday for most.  there will be many hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks (and becan) consumed.  There will be much beer consumed then later emptied relieved.

but today is not really about becan and beer.  It's all about honoring those who have served us so selfishlessly.

Thank you.

Well said Reece. We owe so much to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and thanks for those who have put their lives on the line willing to do that.

I know a lot of us are also remembering those that have passed that may not have served in the military, and some on this forum have lost fathers and other loved ones in the last year. Hopefully today will be peaceful and you will enjoy a day of remembering your time with them and appreciating the impact they had on your lives. They are gone but not forgotten!

    Happy Memorial Day everyone.

Sending my utmost respect to all past and present members of US Armed Forces from the UK.

I consider anyone who puts their life on the line for my freedom a hero, especially those who sadly pay that ultimate price.
