Memory usage in Platinum.

What is everyone else seeing. When I load Plat with no files loaded, just the program, then load up task manager in Windows 10, it tells me that Sonar is using almost a gig of memory and nothing is yet loaded but the core program. Is this what everyone else is seeing, or do I have issues that need attention? So what are you folks seeing?

In my case using 64bit SONAR 2016.05 on Win10 the task manager reports SONARPLT.exe uses 42.8MB in the APPS section on the processes tab. This immediately after program load and without a project or blank project template loaded.

I was looking at the performance module a few weeks ago and saw 27%.
last week after I did a windows update, I noticed while working on the same project that my performance module dropped to 9%.
now im not sure I would bet the house on the performance module (task manager is typically always correct.)
but a small word of advice, make sure your windows update is just that...up to date.

    good luck my man

When I looked at Task Manager in my DAW with 32 GB Ram with no projects loaded, I saw SONARPLT.exe using 32.5 MB Ram

When I added a 25 track song with 16 plugins and 10 active Pro- Channel strips, SONARPLT.exe went to 316.3 MB in task Manager.

    Still Not bad.

    Peace,
