Menu Discipline

Current sonar platinum has a main menu, a track menu, a PRV menu, an EL menu, a staff list menu, a browser menu, a console view menu, and others.    It has a right-click context menu in the track list, a right-click context menu in the synth rack, a right-click context menu in the track view on an audio clip, a right-click context menu on a midi clip, a r-c context menu in the PRV note pane but not in the controller pane, a r-c context menu, a r-c context menu in the EL.   And the contents of ALL these menus seem to be haphazard -- why is "delete track" in the r-c context for track lists while "wipe track" is not?     Why are some preferences found in a context menu, others in the window's menu, others in the main menu?     The docking options, sometimes you find them top left with a left click, sometimes bottom right.

It's a big request, I know: but a request none the less: get better organized!

Personally I would like toolbars for for at least TV and CV - instead of menues.
Menu take two clicks - toolbar one click.
Maybe custom toolbars all over, like Custom Control Bar - but multiple and place anywhere.

User configurable menus and toolbars would be the bees knees.  And eliminate the need for onesy-twosy requests in the future.

This kind of thing is not a bug, or problem exactly, but I believe it is the kind of thing a paying customer evaluates early on, in the demo that may one day be available to potential paying customers.   And it is a little time-vampire, clicking around to find where a particular thing you know can be done is actually available.

We used to have fully moveable and configurable bars pre X1 if I remember and it was too small and cluttered.

For instance, I can never find "on stop rewind to now" ... it's not changed often enough to be in my usual set of shortcuts, but it is used from time to time.   I'm working in PRV.   Where is that option, which applies everywhere?   Not in preferences, not in PRV, not in any of the main window menus.    It's not in a right-click context menu.    No, as I find repeatedly after a long search, it's in the track view, under options.     Somebody on the development team made two assumptions that don't apply to me: that I'd always work in track view, and that I'd like "options" handy right in that window.

Somebody to corral individual programmers and their assumptions is needed ...
