As usual great vocals. Moody build-up with a daring sleigh bell, not so often used in ballads, but I like it! Not familiar with the original but this was a beautiful piece.

Daryl, this is great! Whew she has an awesome voice! Just curious man....did you take a lot away from the piano? It sounds a bit small to me...sort of one-dimensional...but it does fit the mix really well with all the stuff you have going on. It just seemed a bit small or stripped so to speak. But man, this is a solid mix that you should be proud of...well played/performed and of course, the Mrs. is awesome. :)

Lovely... I really enjoyed listening... I agree with Danny about the piano sound, and again, the vocal sounds over compressed to me... still, I love the song, and your performances...  This is quite good actually...

Very pleasant Mr & Missus G.  Got a late night, lying-on-the-sofa-glass-of-wine-balanced-on-the-chest kinda mood.

Thanks Danny - the piano is Alicia's Keys in Kontakt (which I love) with a ton of high pass filter.
Maybe I did squeeze a bit hard but I was trying to make room for the sleigh bells. Love me some sleigh bells :)

Nice.  Great performances.  Solid mix.  Any crits are subjective so take with a grain of salt.
After noticing what a nice voice she has, I thought she sounded really full in the lower tones of her voice.  At the same time I noticed the piano sounding a little small.  Sounds like you took the piano and high-passed it (for the sake of the bass), carved some low-mids (for her vocal), and low passed it too (I dunno... for the bells?).
It all works well here in context.  I might try shelving off a little low from her vocal a couple db & give it back to the piano, and personally I'd ease up on the low pass filter a bit as well.  I love the high-fi sound of a piano, the bells are a nice accent but not mission critical part of the mix imho.

Very well done instrumentation and mix, and, the current Mrs. Daryl has a lovely voice.   Sounds great, you have to put out a Christmas CD.

Nice one. She does have a good voice. The next Mrs. Daryl1968 will probably be tone deaf, so you might want to keep this one!
