Merry mint and jello Pudding with Shrubberries ~ T.B 101

With Thanks to those who helped me along the way...as today is a day of thanks it seems....And I believe in all my post I have given thanks to all ...always..unless...les is Les.

I have to say..That with that help...I found something we, PC builders should do, before trying to build one...Read the Manual of the MOBO...And find out what slot shares with what slot...before hand.

That is my contribution to this Forum....And it has been my Attemp throughout the years, to try to get things Not To share IRQ's....I think this is very important to point at and impliment...

So thanks to all...I have been busy...I will get back to you all in time...with my findings....and I hope I help...as those who need help should get it....The positives, and those who are negitive...

So say we all?
A little More Pie please.

LOL

...and again.... Thank you!

    ????...the answer is Yes!

Well is it not thank you week? day? or such?...Then there is mine...

The first thing to ~T.B 101 (TO BUILD)..is read the manual of the PC MOBO build first and formost... sent to all ././/with pie and yes ICECREAM if you want....

Then find out what slots share...and do not put important cards (firewire, SATA. or the likes there of) into shared slots, If one requires dedicated and uninterupted functioning......as with my new Mobo....seems it is a video mobo with all these pci x16 slots...and when you put in a video card in the top slot, as requested by the manufacture of the MOBO...it shares with the 3rd lower slot, and so on and so ofrth, which is a pci-e 1x slot...which with the double sized video cards these days blocking its use...we move down to the next pci-e x16 and or 1x slot, which is shared with......tada...firewire is sharing with video card....not good....

    New eufi bios is nice...
I find that the new bios format has downfalls....It is no longer possible to set irq's or slots to them...No turning off or on plug and pray OS...anymore???

Yah...I see issues...coming before I even start...and they can be veriable in nature...starting right there with the start of the build....

"???" + "??" - "?"... So yes..is my answer to the question marks...LES's T.B. 101 moves two steps backwards.....and anything goes when asking and eating pie with Shrubberries, and minted pudding on the side...LOL.

When they knighted him they must have swung a bit hard to the top of the noggin, me thinks.

I cannot express an opinion on the mint jelly, but the shrubbery should be trimmed, but perhaps for a landing strip.

All that aside, there IS something to be said for a bit of homework on hardware purchases of all sorts, PARTICULARLY when it all has to combine into a hopefully smooth running cohesive unit, such as a DAW.

    Sir Les,

It is my understanding (which is very vague at the moment since I haven't deeply researched this) that PCIe interrupts are not a problem like they used to be and sharing may longer matter.

My ASUS P9X79 WS motherboard has 6 PCIe 3.0x16 slots and they all share the same interrupt.

Yes...the pudding with mint jelly...You are saying the same things I am...but I am putting it in different format....hence the Knighted state of disorder and opposites are viewed as lies...when told this will work with that dare, and that will work with dis dare....and spending lots of money to solve for why they do not work as prescribed...or advertized....and even as sabotaged...in some instances...By the developers.

I see the video and overclocking bunch want fast and furious machines...But what about the audio tech Guy who wants stability and or exlusivity on his ports of calling...so they do not get interupted when recording long hourly sessions of multi tracked mayham.....

This is where lots of hair is lost....and sometimes it does not grow back......So soup de jour or soir is best taken or consumed, with a bit of salt, and pie, and shrubberries while reading into the manual after opening the box....which in some cases rules out returns...and you guessed it, restocking fees applied to others.....Yep More money....and more adverts....same story...and now same old issues....

So I tell my story with fruits and such...You tell your story with Your perspective point.....We all have had our heads clipped, when we walked through the door of the store selling this stuff.......Which means You need a landpad also.....And I know who makes em...for a fee that is....wink wink...

Again thanks for your version of my worded truth....Glad you are catching the LOL Parts...

And as always...More thanks!...and The Pie is delicious..

    P.S.
Canada Computers...was a place I went to to buy parts....I bought the 2011 sabertooth, around 350,.. with a intel Processor around 600 bills, memory 64gb at about 200 bills...and a couple of hard drives .. for some more...
This is what occurs..before even buying...
THE STORE REP...insists on opening the MOBO Box..and putting his or her fingerprints , and possibly static charge onto and or through the product...which I pointed out...but was told, Static electricity is no longer a issue with Motherboards of the newer type.
Why do they put it in static free bags?....The reply was, "we have to show you the pins on the cpu port"....really?...I said do you have a magnifying glass?...No was the reply.....and so what are you showing me?..If I cannot see detail?.
Well..that came home with me against my better judgement....and awaited the rest of the parts....but I had a deadline in return policy...So I had to atleast test....The board was dead!....no post, no beeps, nothing!...and the flashback bios feature did not work....Yep...So I thought the memory..the power supply Corsair AX 850, and lastly the cpu...No , No , No...it was the tuff motherboard....wonder why?....Well no cash back...no same replacement...they turned me to the Workstation Board deluxe version...Same problem...same policy on opening the box to show...and again the same words out of my mouth to them about static....Same problem....well then...I brought it all back to the store..and paid the tech guy to solve the problem...the cpu works, the memory is good , the power supply is the top of the shrub....and I am using a full tower case....with a Nice Asus 14x blu ray...

    The motherboard was toast....why?...Yep..policy!....

Becareful people they will sell you crap...and then tell you , no refund...only exchanges..or restocking fees are applied.

Now I have been demoted to a lessor featured board, with blue tooth...and mostly pci-e x16 slots....the two pci-e x1 slots are poorly placed to be restricted by multiple video cards....that was my forced buy at canada computers...cause they had nothing in stock...

So now I am working on trying to get it up and running ...slowly....but I do not think this board is gonna do for Music....Asus p9x79 deluxe, from the IRQ stand point of things.

    So yes More Pie please.

Thanks to all who have laughed and will come to laughing...when they experience the Merry mint of it all...in pudding format.

    Sir Les,

My ASUS P9X79 WS motherboard has 6 PCIe 3.0x16 slots and they all share the same interrupt.

THat is my problem..I have that board now...although  I wanted the Sabertooth one....but it is not being continued by Asus....hence the next best up was the WS board deluxe...I was told early in life..Buy techies of certain ilk....no sharing is allowed, when it comes to soundcards and i/0 ports ....and I stand by that to some degree or used to...,,.as I have witnessed crashing recently....using the same words you just uttered as a direction on the last 1366 build....and I want to find out why???...interupts?...perhaps that is where we all stop looking for answers...cause they say it is no longer a problem....yet I still have em!....wonder why?...Pudding..I say...it is all in the pudding...Lies are being told...and sold!

What leads you to suspect your motherboard ? It's Asus's top of the line board, do you really think it can't handle a bit of audio ?
Mine's not complaining. Is your's the Deluxe or the WS ? they're not the same.

Unless you're really unlucky and your motherboard is defective.

Ah ha....Facilties aside...We are suppose to make things of Quality...integrity...of valour an honourable merits put in and on and through...to better the human condition....Yes?

Why so many Problems with Computers and Recording??/// (a Good reliable Scribe being sought?)...and really never totally stable....Intetesting parallels have come to my imagination....some might be true.

Yes just play and shut up...does it solve the problem?...No it continues!....

Here is another issue now...I bought a PCI-E x1 Firewire b 800 card with TI chipset...windows 7 64 bit installed with problems in Device manager...No FIREWIRE CARD FOUND...Why?....Well seeing as it was Bought from Canada Computer store...I would say it is toast!

But that is just my contence of mind over matter, and constants being applied to the problems at hand...and I just got started!

So much more to come...and I like my accoustic Guitars/harp...and I play it while eating shrubberries, and kicking the cat and puppy...till I hear something of merit...

Just my way of making it all move along.....And with Thanks....Say what ever you want...it is all just a delusional trek...to the next landing pad on this and other forums...what remains constant is usually caused by something overlooked, falsely stated, or not working as designed......and or ...or told not to look at...I say!.

What ..no more shrubberries?....bring me my horse, and armour!...We ride onwards in Quest of...more pudding forthcoming!....LOL

Thanks Paul...It says here on the USER GUIDE P9X79 Deluxe...But on the box cover it says WS the inner box says deluxe...they must of put the wrong box cover on the box in all the confusion...and misdirection being applied.....

I was told the WS model was toast (they could not get it to post< just like the Sabertooth board)...and they demoted me, and gave me a credit of $10.00...woop woop...and this deluxe board!....Yah two boards same problem...Now I got what I did not want..Just because what I wanted is no longer availible or being continued by Asus .....So upwards in price...downwards in content...seems to be the direction.....less ports, less control of em, and or things we do not need being paid for in features.....who needs 4x pci-e ports all shared?...well they say what they say...I got a problem with it...cause it is like a nighmare returning to nip me in the buttock.....

So you saying I got ripped with this.....really....isn't that my point?

Well Paul a little audio?...I am trying to get 16 tracks recorded at once..through a expensive Allen and Heath r16 firewire mixing board....in my Studio....which is being built up slowly....with problems here and there, as life is full of....No doubt about that....what puzzels me is why?

And thus the quest to find out.....Not so simple a audio issue when you get data dumps on a small 256gb ssd main drive..half full of supposed Proffessional music programs,( that all have funny quarks)...and part of that drive taken by swap filing......could spell disaster!.....Right Paul?
So can it handle it?....hmmm...?...more pudding is necessary first!!!...LOL

    Les,

So you had a defective WS board and then a defective Deluxe board.
    Hmm, I see a pattern...

Btw, I was wrong. We only have 2 x PCIe3.0x16. Still, should be more than enough for a daw. Is your soundcard PCIe ?

What exactly are your problems, apart from serious bad luck ?

Well Paul...Let me lie down..."It all started back in the hay day".... of Atari and Steinberg...Roland...
Then the PC came out...win 95 and Echo Gina 20bit paired up with Stienberg to anounce "The recording system of the Future"....and Being a multi track recording nut...I bought in.....should of stuck with tape based systems.

Well that first Pentium II . Scsi, PC was just the forground to the next best thing..and updates, and crashes...till it went up in smoke!
Well some parts were recovered, and still work...interestingly enough.

So my quest has been to get it to work....maybe I have bad luck...You say?....and that is just another reason to find out why, in the spirit?????

I have built some XP systems, with strict implimentation on IRQ sorting... has been a work horse for over five years, works flawlessly with ACID PRO 7...and still my main internet system now...But it is weak in speed, and memory, and ofcourse multi tracking of 16 tracks could cripple her.

My Music system is exclusively for just that..(Sabertooth x58, 980x cpu, 16gb memory, m4 256 ssd main drive, one 6gbps WD 1tb drive, UAD QUAD SOLO, And a FIREWIRE LACIE 800 Card... and a slew of other things added in for storage...Also There are two ports for ssd caching..which I put two performance 128 ssd drives on....to boost speed?

I can turn on internet, and turn it off...no problem for updates and drivers then....and when I am going into session work...I turn it off in Bios.
That should make things more stable..by freeing up that IRQ...Right?

Well the newer older build Asus Sabertooth x58 board, with a UAD card, and A FIREWIRE LACIE 800 CARD are now having crashing issues....I was using Focusrite pro 40...Not enough inputs for my studio...So the Allen and Heath r16 was aquired...and the driver was said to be buggy, and to turn back to the older version...(fast biker boy on this forum??)..also made some attempts in reverting me backwards ...So...I am at square one again..P.B 101....Thanks for the sofa lie down...it is not so much my bad luck...as many people are having crashing issues....still..in 2011~2013 and beyond?...and you have to ask why!

If you do not ask why...then you accept it as normal....computers of such estates should not crash today!...But they do..only because they are cutting corners, and hiding error....to keep selling things to us.....it is the hook...it is the sinker...and it is getting old.

Now if you try certain combinations...you may get happy story board.....But..to get you straight...I bought a Sabertooth x79 board, which was toast, I then was given in replacement a WS board...which was toast...and now finally I got the deluxe in a box which says deluxe, covered in a cover box which says WS...Just to make things confusing...So the manual says, and I think I went over the pictures and compared apples to apples, to say yep this is the right manual for the board....We moved to trying to get her running ...which took a bit of...But once I got the OS installed, and all the right Drivers for the board running, and no unknowns in the device manager.....It was time to put in the firewire card on the last pci-e 1x slot on the board.....and it was not detected.

Interestingly enough...the tendencies for this sort of thing to happen to me, or anyone else...is kinda magnetically charged to the reps in store playing with opening the boxes...and touching things without proper grounding...

Now that that part or buy and run back and forth is over......I can move forward or backwards with my testing my idea....

Thanks Doctor PaulIe.....I'll take my coat now...Hope I straightened you out on my funny month of Febulious...With Indoor Shrubberries soon to bare fruit.....and Oga making more pudding...we should be up and answering more issues with solid and tested crumble pie.

Just doing it...my way for a change of pace...LOL

So first thing first...interupts on Firewire or other ports of data flow in out should be reserved and exclusive to those things.....To start off on the right foot forward....I SAY....Wink wink....then move on to WINDOWS TWEAKS IF NEED BE....

Just trying to help...again My way...more fun I thinks...

Thanks for the time...it will all Jello soon.

Les : Thanks for the additional info. I'm starting to get the picture.

"It was time to put in the firewire card on the last pci-e 1x slot on the board.....and it was not detected."

Which firewire card are you attempting to use ?

Do you have two or more graphics cards installed ? What are your other cards ? Have you tried your firewire card in another slot, taking something else out of the way if you have to ?

Thanks again Paul..and all the others...good, and bad, positives, and negitives,...it all helps round out the pie.....

You are atleast interested in my Stories...Not too many people are...But the fun is in the punnishment..so they said to Jesus.

So to answer your questions...On new Build 101 deluxe...Setup by store tech, to post, and show all 64 mismatched memory moduals (due to trying to get the working type in to the other toasted board to post)
The next board in line showed it was working or posting with the mismatched memory, cpu, and hard drives connected....that is what they did for me...the firewire card is a (Syba?) SD-PEX30009 -TI X102213 PCI-E 1X IEEE 1394B CARD Bought at Canada computer store, with the other things(sata 6gbps add on card pci-e 1x) upon retuning the toasted sabertooth x79...

I am only using one video card that takes up two slot positions...so the first slot covers the 1st pci-e 1x slot...
I have moved the Video card (against the MoBo manual recommendation) to the middle Pcie x16 slot...to free up my pci-e1x slot...
I also have a Sata 6gbps card with two ports on it...as the motherboard does not have enough of them dare sata ports...even though they are backwards compatable with the slower 3gbps drives..the manufacturers still insist on putting more of the slower state ports on the boards, and not enough of the faster ones....it seems....so I put in the firewire below on th elast slot on the board......And it booted...no firewire detected.....and then the sata card put in and booted... it was detected...but the Firewire is not ....tried swapping ports...still no firewire...but the sata still got put in the device manager as working correctly.....So the ports are working.

Also unhid the hiden devices in the device manager....nope not in there!...and I have tried swapping...no luck...and on its own...still no luck.

So moe money is now spent on what was said to me, in words... to work well....PYRO...it is a firewire 800 card with TI chipset...I bought two online...coming soon in the mail.....

So while I let this system burn in..and check for updates..and put in the general quicktime, and adobe readers...and other burning software and update the firmware......and read more of the manual.....

What do you think of my approch to all this ....?

Here is something else...USB 3.0 is also backwards compatable with 2.0...yet they still put more of the slower , and less of the faster...and it has been a while now in its developement...So why are Motherboard manufactures still putting redundant/slower ports of calling on motherboards?...when everything is being overclocked to faster and faster is being incurraged in the BIOS to do?......Do you see bottlenecking taking place?...slow transfer rates?....yah...some people are!....wonder why?

So only one video card installed, and one only needs one good one...Gybabite ATI 7770 ...right?...I will change it when I find a good single slot single size one with 2mb of memory....and yep... MOE MONEY dropped on it!...

THE pudding is getting a thumbs down at this junction point.
But I am sure it would make a good Film editing and cgi system....with all dem dare slots for video cards and all shared for faster sli or crossfire I would imagine?

I do not go into sli or crossfire with my Music systems....as Video was, and according to Allen and Heaths tech tips...all video accelleration is to be turned off along with the internet networking nics and wi fi....and has been a long standing issue with many daw developers...in past history with me...

So I did install the blue tooth thing...but then I turned it off in Bios...as it showed up as a unknown device..and would not install the driver untill I put in the module, and then installed the driver...So that went away...and then we tried firewire ...and tried...and tried

So more toast..for the bread pudding....yippie.

So Paul...what you think about this one?....

On mY other Sabertooth x58...I have implimented the swap to the lower for the firewire, and put the UAD card on top...better performance is noted...but I still had a crash...and data dump...with SONAR X2a....So not up to speed yet...but it is all kinda new gear...maybe it just needs some TLC and the right drivers..and proper setup slot wise.....perhaps?...as the firewire card in that system is LACIE...a very good brand in my book...who no longer make em...as they told me...the new thing is thunderbolt....and ofcourse the standards change..or are never standard!...To keep us paying to make it work......Right Paul?....Well that is my finding so far.....I think my point is valid....more tea and pie?..no problem!

    Re:Merry mint and jello Pudding with Shrubberries ~ T.B 101 2013/02/24 12:35:00 (permalink)
Les, a couple of things :

There are settings in your bios for both your x1 slots. There are both set to auto ? (otherwise they're disabled)

You say you added a SATA III card. Why ? Do you have more than 2 SSDs? You only need SATA III for SSDs, SATA II is more than enough for any hard drive and you have ports for 4 of those. Don't be misled by hard drives that say they are SATA III, it doesn't mean anything in the real world.

So your motherboard supports 2 ssds and 4 hard drives (less one or two for optical drives).

You write : "I do not go into sli or crossfire with my Music systems....as Video was, and according to Allen and Heaths tech tips...all video accelleration is to be turned off along with the internet networking nics and wi fi....and has been a long standing issue with many daw developers...in past history with me... "

I imagine this becomes less and less of a problem with newer more powerful systems, which yours certainly is.

    Tweakberry

    Sir Les

Here is another issue now...I bought a PCI-E x1 Firewire b 800 card with TI chipset...windows 7 64 bit installed with problems in Device manager...No FIREWIRE CARD FOUND...Why?....Well seeing as it was Bought from Canada Computer store...I would say it is toast!

are you using the drivers that came with the card?, if so try removing those drivers and letting windows use its own drivers for firewire

i bought a firewire card that came with unibrain drivers, when i uninstalled them and let Windows use its own drivers all was good and the card was recognized in Device Manager

Well thanks for asking...It does seem to have come with a mini Diskette with lots of drivers on it...the problem is...the firewire card is not being detected to install divers to.....

So that sinks that idea....and even if it was detected...windows 7 would put its own legacy driver in, and say the best driver is already installed...Or so I have witnessed when trying to revert back to older drivers....wink wink.

So more pie is on the way...as the baker told me so....But thanks...it all helps....form direction.....I like straight lines myself...but these circles can be fun...for a while.

    Re:Merry mint and jello Pudding with Shrubberries ~ T.B 101 2013/02/24 21:09:10 (permalink)
Yes Paul...I read all about the pci-e x1 slot config...either auto or bt3 for slot 1, and pci-e x1 2 slot is a bit different as it has auto and esata mode...but both non auto selections disable the pci-e x1 slots.

Well Doc...I like fast transfer rates to alieve bottlenecks...which I am trying to solve for in why my other build is crashing and dumping...What I found out was I have a ssd as a main drive...and slower sata 3gbps drives on the recieving end of things...So one is very fast, and the rest are relitively slow...causing problems?...So seeing as this board in question (Sabertooth x58 studio system) is weak in that point factor...I went out and bought some faster 6gbps Drives...and a port for them, as ...as you know only two 6gbps ports come with the sabertooth x58 line...the other two ports claiming to be, are only for caching with ssd drives....which do not show up in windows 7...not sure why....so I think I raided them to raid 0 in bios drive expert by setting them from normal to fast....The drives are detected at boot post...but cannot be managed in divice manager....

So that is why I bought a card for faster sata ports and hardrives...which the board lacks....

Now I like to follow instruction of the manufacture....Cause I want things to work....I am told to turn off 3d excelleration...so I do that.
I am told to tweak the OS...so I do that too...I am told to not let important cards share IRQ's...But that control is now taken away....and PLUG AND PLAY option is also missing in this new build...which means MS WINDOWS NOW CONTROLS MY COMPUTER SETUP...AND IT IS CRASHING!

As I move round in circles...we can slowly see constants.....and that is where I am looking for the root cause....Kill the root..and you kill the cause?...or does another one pop up?.

Well that pie isn't even close to being backed yet....but when and if it is necessary....More shrubberries will be needed.!!!...

And No meed or other beverages of alcoholic qualities here ...or other mind altering prescriptions....as noted in this thread as being used by me....
But trying for over thirty years of troubleshooting PC systems...has made me a little more insane than the usual ilk ....some may say...And I don't care!

More pie please?....Sure Paul...I got more comin in soon...LOL

    Thanks Paul.

Ok then there dem dare words or imaginary spirit...spoken with conviction, and honesty.....will now end....I will try to move this to the appropriate Computer nerds forum...to start troubleshooting...Nice to have met most of you ...a fine bunch you are...

Just remember...not just with my insanity...but others who have simular if not worse problems...are people...and people sometimes in frantic states of mind...need to be allowed to vent.....Some see this as negitivity....But with my post here...I don't blame them for being negitive at all!.....So be mindful...be Joyious...Be Good to one another...reach out...be nice...Have some shrubberries...and a cuppa tea....and go forth and solve...if possible...help if you can...and even be negitive nicely...cause opposites can help people see through it...and come to a alternate conclusion in resolve.

So it all helps us help us move forward....see?

See yah on T.B 102....comin soon...

Les : "So that is why I bought a card for faster sata ports and hardrives...which the board lacks.... "

It is my understanding, from reading in lots of places for almost a year, that you will see no difference in throughput if you hook a sata III hard drive to a sata II port. Especially an Intel sata II port like you have 4 of on your motherboard. Sata III hard drives are just hype.

So, what I would try, would be to pull out your sata pci board and hook up your hard drives to your very efficient sata II ports on your motherboard.

Then I'd plug your firewire card into the slot you just freed up. By the way, how old is that card ? The specs says its a pcie 1.0a spec'd board, that's like ancient.

Last question : you say your firewire board doesn't show up where it is now. Have you tried it in another slot to see if it shows up there ? Who knows, maybe the board is bad.

isnt firewire kinda being phased out a we bit?
please forgive me if im wrong,i mean no ignorance.
but should't thou be looking toward usb ?

like i said, please forgive thee if im wrong.

    (please,speak in mid evil only)

Opps sorry...one more question to answer...I did not see you...but I will not denie you and answer.

Yes firewire is being phazed out by MS...for USB...Like I posed in one other post I put up about the fighting for domonance over...Apples invention..or Microsofts...

Now I tried USB...and found it had some issues...if I liked hearing keystrokes and mouse movements over my speakers...and headphones...I would merrily endorce it as a positive Port of calling for the masses...
But after trying to get that noise out of my head..and equipment...I moved to a more exclusive port...no mouse, no keyboards, no usb drives transfering stuff..or being paged..or whatever usb does while checking its ports...

See...should it be phazed out?....so many people bought in on it...and it does work to some extent on XP...atleast it was for me...

So why kill it?...or is it being killed prematurely to bring in usb ?..by MS?...

Not that I do not want help...I do...but I am not ready to be helped...as first I must get to square one...and I know I can..cause I have...it is finding the problem with my last build ...and this new one being built...and firewire.....Now if you spent $2,500.00 on a firewire mixing board...would USB be the solution for it?

So a need is there...and a reason for it...so why kill it?...if it is a card we can impliment with drivers...if it would only work....what is stopping it from working in WIN 7 properly?...where as in XP it works ...atleast I never had it crash on me while recording....

So...does it matter...?...Thunderbolt is another Apple Product....and it will be a new problem to solve for...and MS will try to corrupt it...no doubt about it....or make something better...So they may say....

But thanks for asking....I do not think it is out of need yet.....as many people are having problems with USB and FIREWIRE...So lots of things to consider....Just keepin it real....so I thought.

Last question : you say your firewire board doesn't show up where it is now. Have you tried it in another slot to see if it shows up there ? Who knows, maybe the board is bad.
Well Paul...that solution you put up was what I was doing...1 sata 2 drive on a sata 3 port..and the rest of the sata 2 drives on their respective ports...Although I thought I had one sata 3 drive atleast in there on the respective port...it turned out none were sata 3 ..except the ssd.... and I had a major crash in sonar...when reverting back to older driver of the allen and heath mixer...and trying it out..to see if it works...as ALLEN and HEATH CLAIM it works with sonar x1...I bought into...and then updated to x2...should still work?...well seemed sluggish at first trial...so I went back to Acid Pro 7 to do my thing with...but that was now crashing aswell....So...is it the data transfer, the new mixing board drivers?...the firewire...IRQ interupts being interupted?....Well Let Les make another PC...and start with newer stuff?....hmmmm ...not so new?...not so good so far out of the gates....

Now I do not know what is causing the issues with this Studio computer...and I really want find out before I go forward....well some are saying it is the firewire port itself...Standards...they keep changing them....shouldn't they prefect them first?

That is my spit to spin in the air.....but really Paul...should it be this way in 2013?...It is not about perfection anymore...just read my story again...It is about money!....do not fix ...so capital can be gained....I say. ..and when it is all falling down...or it is being fixed by hackers...they change the system or OS....interestingly enough....who made ASIO FOR ALL?....see?.

Just look at the consumer market of disposable trinkets...and in there lies the answer...Just through it away..and buy the new...but sometimes the new isn't as good as the old....So someone told me to revert back to older drivers....see?

Sometimes holding on to something old...making it work..or is fixable on many levels...where as the new crap they make...is just disposable!(new firewire card?)..no a pig in the pow...but it shows us all...the perils we all face when buying...get the firewire with the TI chipset...and it is a 800 card...newer?...well from what you say...it is older.

So buyer beware...read up...do the homework?...well if you run into a store, and buy duds...and are left with a credit note...and or replacement..but no replacement of simular value is around in stock or will be again...and your time limite is running out for returns....You have to make do...and that is where I was corralled into something...why?...Policy! ...

Yes Paul, the Firewire card I just bought from canada computers is not the best...nor is it working...toast I say...At this junction point...it is all crap to me until I find out the culpret ...The Pyro Firewire cards coming in will no doubt be better in terms of workable....But that is time based...if MS keeps rolling out new OSes...standards will never be standard!....My other point!

So Paul...that firewire card is not really being used other than to show...Problems....PC Builders face....when going to the store...and not finding quality upto standard parts for sale...and the advertizing claiming it has a TI chip...is redundant spew if the card does not work at all!

    Amen brethrine?...And Sistas?
More Pie surved in the lounge!...lol
