Mesa Boogie Nomad 55

I can buy one now second hand for €500,-
Any experiences?

    Zonno I don't have one, but it looks like really nice amp. I have the Blue Angel (1x12) which has an amazing "buttery" tone........looks very similar to the Nomad 55 and seems to have some of the same components/features (except for the high gain).....the Blue A. just has a pure clean all tube tone.

    i had a nomad 45 in the studio for a short time,
    very versatile amp, you can do a lot with it...
    the red channel can get kinda marshally, which is cool with a boogie...
    out of production, but that's a good price if there is nothing wrong with it, i'd do it.

    Boogies are wonderful. I don't know about the Rectifier series but the Mark, Lonestar, Subway, etc are really better than you think they will be. Don't know about the Nomad but the Mark has only two channels, IIRC, where you can turn the bass above 9:00 and get good tone. Again, I don't know how it compares to the Mark series but if it is ANYTHING like it at all.. don't just plug in and play, read the manual. They can be really counter intuitive.
