Meter calibration question

Hi All,

Meter calibration question:
I am using a LUFS meter in the track FX rack called '4U Meter Fader' by HOFA.

I have a - 11.5 LUFS pink noise file playing through a  regular track (from Ian Shepherd's article on LUFS and metering).
The metering on the track reads - 11.5.

So far so good.

I send the output of this track to my master fader.
This fader reads - 19.3 LUFS.

The gain on both is set to 0.0 dB.
Pro Channel is turned off on both.
No other effects present on either track or master bus.

Why the discrepancy?

Thanks,

Ray (aka oluon)

    Is the fader at unity?

    Hi John,

I tried this on a new project and all seems to be well.

I guess I need a primer on meters and calibration in Sonar.
I'll check the archives. If you know of anything, please write back.

    Thanks,
