Meters freezing, VST scan will not stop [SOLVED], and Absynth midi off key [SOLVED]

I took the plunge and installed Platinum. I started a test project, and immediately ran into a few problems.

First of all, the meters are freezing when I stop play. The meters reset when I hit play again, so it's not that big of a deal. Just annoying. Video drivers are the latest from Nvidia. I tried closing and reopening Sonar, but the meters stay stuck. Happens with both the segmented and regular meters.

I loaded up the latest version of Absynth. I drew a single midi note in the piano roll connected to Absynth. When I press play, the midi note is off by several octaves higher than what it says in the piano roll. I can press the key in the piano roll, and the key on the synth, and the note is the same.  I loaded another synth, Massive, and did not have this problem. ***NOTE*** I was just messing around with this again, and noticed that the midi note is at C7. I was originally pressing C4, and drew a note on C4. I didn't move the note. When I originally opened the piano roll, there was no keyboard. I undocked the piano roll, and the keyboard showed up. Overall, it's weird, and I can't reproduce it.

[SOLVED: I don't know exactly why it happened, but I'm thinking that it was because my machine was choking because of the VST scan that wouldn't quit. Currently tested, and haven't had this issue again.]

Sonar will not stop scanning my VST folders. I opened the Plug-In Manager and pressed the Options button. It gave me an Error message, "A VST scan is already running. Please wait for it to complete before starting another scan." I get the same message when I press the Plug-In Properties or Scan VST Plug-ins button. I went to preferences for Sonar, and changed the VST scan setting to Manual, but still the same problem.

[SOLVED: I found an old free VST plug that Sonar couldn't scan. It caused the system to hang. Deleted the plug, started Sonar so that it could scan, and now my VST manager works properly. It would have been nice to have an actual OFF option for the VST scan. Would have made this problem easier to deal with. Entire program is now running smooth and snappy. Thought it was a dinosaur there for a bit.]

Anyone else seeing any of these?

Make sure you don't have 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the same plugin on path.

Try resetting the vst's, and then do a rescan.

    Cheers.

I updated the post. It was an old freeware VST that I hadn't used in years that was hanging up the system. Except for the meters, I think that was the crux of the problems. The scan was stuck, and caused my computer to choke.
