Metronome Goes Out Of Time (X1 and X2)

I write and record a lot of progressive rock and metal with lots of bar to bar time sig changes. I find that after a while the metronome simply gets lost. This has always happened in X1 and is happening in X2.  Its not a massive problem but seems like something which shouldn't happen.
For example if I have a section of say
11/16 - 9/8 - 11/16 - 4/4
then by the time I get to the 4/4 the metronome is lost and will often strike on the offbeat or similar. Is it something I'm doing wrong, or just the computer getting confused?

Hi - I also am into progressive rock and fusion (keyboard player), and I do a LOT of odd-meter stuff, with lots of switching of the meter from song section to section.

I do not ever have this issue on my system.

I will try to send you a private message with my email.

Can you then send me a zipped up project folder (try not to make it too big from lots of audio tracks).  I mainly need to have just a couple of tracks and then I will see what happens to the metronome on MY system when running through the meter changes in your project.

You're using the Audio Metronome? I've noticed it may get lost if there are time signature changes in the project and if
    - I move now cursor by mouse during playback
    - record using loop mode so that loop ends are not exactly at measure starts.

I would suspect loop mode might do that for you.

I have had zero issues, and I do meter switches all the time, as I am working on tunes with cycles of differing meters, like

    4/4, 7/4, 4/4, 5/4, 4/4. 7/4. 4/4, 5/4

I LOVE making drummers heads explode.
