Metronome - Silly Question

On a track, I accidentally deleted the Metronome Bus and trying undo didn't restore it.

Since doing this, not matter what outputs I send the Audio Metronome to (from within Preferences), I don't get any output from the Metronome.

I've tried creating a new Bus and routing to this as well as routing to my interface outputs and the Master Bus.

Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

Simple checks first: is metronome enabled for playback/recording?

Yes, I've tried it with both enabled and I don't get anything on playback or record.

It is only this project and on all other projects the Metronome works fine.

    Thanks.

Go to Preferences and choose the advanced version of the menus. There is a section for the Metronome. You can choose where the Metronome signal is sent here. Most likely you'll just want your main Audio output, your Master buss, or a new Metronome buss if you created one.

    I've already tried that.

I get nothing no matter what outputs I select for Metronome via Preferences.

Strange one this. As it's only this one project, I think I'll just have to live with it.

Hi dazzos - same problem here.  I'm about to break something.  I'm on a project with a lot of tracks.  I used the metronome before and now have someone in the studio to record another acoustic guitar part.  I NEED the metronome and I'm getting no audio.  I'm no stranger to setting it up (it's set to audio, record checked, routed to a good bus that works when other audio is routed to it, etc.).  It's kind of sad...people complained about trouble with the metronome before - and I never had any difficulties - X1d comes out that is supposed to add features and fix instability and now I'm having trouble.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I dont know if this is a daft comment, but why not just record a click on a midi track, just to get you out of a hole for now?

Does the metronome deletion that you did appear in the undo history? If it does then delete it from the history and try again. I've had a quirk in that the item (it wasn't the metronome but something else) would only clear when I did that.
