Metronome drifting while recording

Hi all, I am using my Sapphire Pro 40 as the clock but when I record, the metronome drifts away from the correct tempo. Should I be using Sonar and the computer as the master?
Thanks,
Art

Hi. If you are not using any other outboard gear (that needs syncing with the AI), I would use SONAR as clock.
    Best of luck.

I'm not sure what you mean by "using Sonar and the computer as the master". Under Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording, you should have Sapphire drivers set as Playback and Record Timing Masters, and under Project > Clock, you should have the Source set to Audio.

When you say the metronome is drifting, what's the reference?
