Metronome volume

New to Cakewalk Producer, am frustrated in that I cant seem to adjust the Metronome volume. It seems that it would be as easy as moving the slider on the Metronome box in the console up and down, but this seems to do nothing. Even adjusting the Master slider doesn't seem to change the volume. What am I missing here?

It depends on how you are using the metronome. If you are using an audio note the metronome buss fader should control the volume for you. If you are using a MIDI note the volume will be controlled by the synth/drum machine that you are sending the note to.

Check in the metronome preferences, IIRC correctly in X1 it can be accessed via right clicking the metronome on/off icon. Earlier versions I can't remember.

Thanks. I got into metronome preferences and changed the metronome output setting from 'HDIF Speaker' to 'Metronome'. Now the Metronome Buss fader does indeed control the metronome volume.
