Mid-60's Girl Group

I had an idea awhile ago to write songs for my teenage daughters (being that they are into the girl group phenomenon). It never got further than this one song though. It was a cool idea for us at the time: http://soundcloud.com/the-swonns/britannia
Maybe we'd have to veer more toward She & Him? Any input would be welcome.

Well, this is something different.  Your daughters have a nice voice, and this nice pop song is a good vehicle for them.  It's produced well and fun to listen to, but the line "Brittania, how can ya" becomes a bit cloying after a while.  That's OK, you should write more songs for them, and who knows?  We all like girl groups.

    All the best,

This is brilliant and has so much potential.  It's a hit esp because of what is going on in Brittan at the moment.

It captures the vibe and feeling of the 60's pop bands of the time and in particular it has a bit of an early Moody Blues vibe, listen to Prelude, it's all the stuff The Moodies recorded between Denny Laine leaving and Days of Future Past.

Man that was great, it is going on my favorites list best thing I've heard around here in a while.

It is soo good I had to fire up the moniter speakers to get a better listen.

I got a real heavy April March vibe off of this. Too cool for school.

Man, the vibe was perfect on this.

Maybe the lead vox could use some plate verb on it in the dry spots. Not a necessity, just a thought.

    Hi,

You've definitely got the 60's vibe going on.

Really cool song and production. I like this a lot.

Well that's very interesting, I've never heard anything like this on the Songs forum before. What a great idea, and you realized it perfectly. Good song, it would have suited the late Kirsty McColl really well.
