Midi Files

Hi All. I used to edit my midi files with a Sequencer, adjust tempo, keys and instruments etc. I'm now trying to do the same with easy music creator but when I try to import midi files it's greyed out, how do I get it active ???
any advice gratefully accepted.

    Try File > Open instead of File > Import. To import MIDI file a MIDI track must exist in the project. Import is intended to bring data into an existing project. As a result, unlike open, tempo is stripped from the MIDI file during import..
