Midi Groove Clips

I have seen this thread before but cant find it.
I don't seem to be able to audition the midi groove clips.

I have tried most of which I know and searched through Scott's manual.

All other loops I can audition.

Help please..
Thanks

You just need to have a synth set up with audio output, and click the Media tab in the browser to make sure the Synth Preview Output is set to that synth (it will be automatically if it's the only synth in the project). Then click the Play button in the browser.

Thanks for this. Still no joy I guess that I am missing something.
    There is definitely input.

I have just got no output.

Not sure what to set in the insert synth options.

Ah ha I have some thing now that is out putting...They all sound the same though??
    Will try later on...
    Thanks again..

When you insert the synth, you will need to let SONAR create at least the one audio output track in order to hear anything from it. Also, I noticed when double-checking this that many of the Smartloops drum patterns have events on channel 1, so they'll play as Piano parts if you used the TTS-1 for previewing as recommended in the Reference Guide example. To hear those correctly in preview, you would need to insert a dedicated drum synth with GM-compatible mapping like Session Drummer so you get drums no matter what channel the events are on.
