Midi Input/Output issues with Hotfix 246.

Has anyone experienced Midi Input/Output issues with Hotfix Build 246?  If you do not select ALL of your midi interfaces, then Sonar will not allow you to choose a Midi Input Device.  Your only choise is to use All Midi Inputs, which is not good if you are doing complex routing.

Also when you enable Midi Output on a VSTi synth, you can not select that Synth as a Midi input on anther track.  So it's impossible to use a VST arpeggiator such as Catanya or Kirnu arp.  As a workaround you could set the midi channel in Omni as well as within Kirnu Arp or Catanya, but I found that sometimes the Midi Ouput on the VST enabled synth does not work at all.

If you go back to X1 hotfix 244, the issue goes away.  I noticed that there were a lot of midi fixes in hotfix 245, so I would bet it was broke when those fixes were put in place.

Has anyone else experienced these problems?

I believe there is a full thread about this already. There might be a solution, or a confirmation for you somewhere in there.

    Check it out here.

    Here's that other thread:

The problem is pretty well confirmed. Temporary solution is to back out build 246 where the problem apparently showed up.

Got it.  for some reason I could not find this via Search.  Oh well.

I put in a problem report for it and Cakewalk is aware of it as well.

    My Configuration

    Toshiba Qosmio / Windows 7
Sound Cards : Edirol Fa101 Fire Wire
    Sonar X1
    Controls : Edirol PC-50

This is related to assigning the midi output. When i use VST plugins , i can assign the input and output for the midi track . It works perfectly fine.
I have Roland V-kit which has got midi out and my Sound card has got midi in and midi out. when i select midi in as Edirol Midi in  i was able to record the beats from Roland V-Kit , the problem is when i try to assign output , i couldnt get "master" as my out put.

    Can anybody help me
