Midi Latency

Since moving to X1c, I've been experiencing a lot more midi latency with both my old Yamaha G50 and my new Roland GI20 guitar-midi interfaces.  The Roland (which is hooked up now) is very quick and smooth using Kontact 4 standalone, but if I switch to X1c, I get a very long delay when I echo the input.  Anyone else experience this, or know of a remedy?

I guess K4 SA is closed before starting Sonar.

If not some midi port sharing problem maybe.

Or if not having setting Sonar is sharing audio devices - if something there.

Check the audio buffer size in X1,  also check you don't have any "high" latency plugs in the project like PerfectSpace.  Also check plugs that have a 'look ahead' buffer like the Sonitus compressor.  All these buffers delay your audio output even if you're not using them.

On further investigation, I discovered this was specific to one project.  I deleted Perfect Space, as suggested, but it didn't help.  Any more ideas?  Not such a big deal, if it doesn't happen again, but....

What other FX plugs are in the project? Many others also require PDC.
