Midi Notes Turned White

Just input some midi notes using addictive drums. First the bass drum and the snare - all well and I can hear them back. Then overlaid some high hat. All well - I can hear everything on playback. Went to put crashes on - it recorded ok. Then I discovered that the kick and snare midi notes are WHITE and cannot playback. I can play the individual notes by using my cursur in the PRV but they won't play back in the track. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check all of your notes to make sure they:
    • are transmitting on the same Midi channel
    • have a "sensible" velocity

Thanks for replying. Yes all notes are on the same channel. It seems like the midi notes are overwriting the previous ones. Although, as I said, I can still see the previous midi notes but they have changed from the previous red colour to white. Is there a button I need to press to allow midi notes not to overwrite each other? Flummoxed!

My guess would be the velocity of the notes is zero

The new record button takes a little understanding for sure. When I first installed X3, I had a friend sitting here and told them "watch this" to show them some things (of course not reading anything about new features). Didn't take long for me to stop the show and say "Something is not quite 'right'" and was simply the default being in comping mode.
