Midi Track to Separate tracks

Hi, can anyone help me with this?
I have a 16 track sequened midi track that was recorded to Sonar 8.3.1.  How can I take that midi track and separate it to 16 individual tracks, so that I can have each instrument assigned to its own track?  I have heard that this is something that can be done, but I have no idea as to how to proceed.  Thank you.

Running Sonar x2 on Windows 7 64bit Quad 4. 6GB Ram, 1TB Hard Drive. Tascam US-144 Audio Interface, Roland A-800PRO Keyboard Controller.

Hi Ken - First sentence seems a little fuzzy - please clarify a bit.  I think you mean you have a single midi track with data from 16 channels, and you want to split out each channel to its own track.  Is that it?

If it was saved in Midi format 0 try saving it as Midi format 1.

    Run Cal

Split Note to Tracks.cal, to be precise.

On Edit - Actually I think you want Split Channel to Tracks.Cal

The long way is to clone the track for as many notes as you got and then go into each one, deleting all but one note in sequence. A total pain. Figuring out the CAL method is better for you in many ways.
