Midi controller in GTP

Hi
don't mean to be stupid but I have just bought an  "Akai MPK Mini USB MIDI Drumpad & Keyboard" as a midi controller to hopefully play and record the drums and strings.....just one thing, how do you make it work?

    Make sure you have the drivers installed on your computer.  After that there is a setting in the audio menu I believe.  Click on the Midi interfaces and make sure the checkboxes for your interface are selected.  Then when you have a track that uses midi make sure the input is set to your device on the track inputs.
