Midi import NEED HELP!

I'm trying to import a midi clip into a project. This is a midi drum clip recorded on channel 10. If I import it in my project it does not work. Midi meter works but the relative audio track is dead. Session drummer midi track is set to chan. 10. If I open clip into pianoroll sound comes out regularly if i trigger a single note or a group of them. If I import this clip into a new project and I load session drummer it works!!! What am I doing of wrong? Please help me!

There may be NRPNs or one of the like in the event list. Save the project with and added 1 or something so you don't lose what you have. In the saved project open up the event list for that midi track and make it so only the NRPNs and the like are showing and just delete them.

    This may be the problem.

Thank U but it didn' t help. I really don't understand what's happening. I think that the problem is related to midi channel assignment. If I play one of my external instruments, that midi clip plays on channel 10.
If I trigger then session drummer from the keyboard of S90xs it sounds with over 20 msec of delay!!!

I do recall on occations with oddities such as this. Always with midi I've aquired on the internet. Sometimes it might help to create a new midi track then move the rogue midi file to that track (shift drag) then before playing it check the event list of the new midi track for any odd events you may not want or need....

    Just a thought....

do have session drummer as an instrument track or a synth track?

If it's a instrument track try copying your midi track down onto the session drummer track (control Shift and drag)

No matter where i put the midi clip it doesn't play!
I also tried whith inspector changing midi channel with no success.
I tried to delete all "non note events" but same result.
I recorded this clip yesterday: it was a drum session with roland TD20 playing superior 2.0. At the and of session everything was playing flawlessly. That session was only on a part of the main project and so I saved it into a bundle and now I'm trying to copy midi file from that bundle in my main project.
This operation was for me a sort of standard until today!!! I produced lot of productions with this kind of operation.

Have you tried having the new project and donor project open at the same time and copying the midi in that way?
(you may have to (un)check a box in preferences to allow more than one project open at a time.)

Or maybe open the project with the working midi and then export the midi data and then try importing it into the project.

Just trying to throw some ideas your way....

    Thanx Freex,
I think I tried everything possible on earth but with no success.
I was able only to listen that clip in the project where I recorded it.
So I decided to freeze and to export the audio tracks in the main project.
This means that I had to edit that drum in audio.
    Done!
I opened an assistance request to Cakewalk support.
    I'll tell you their answer!!!
    Thank You
