Midi is not recording does not pickup virtual instruments all of the sudden. magic jack??

Could this be a problem with magic jack i have a magic jack plugged into my computer because the downstairs computer had been moved from the phone jack so i plugged it into my computer im not sure if cakewalk is confused about magicjack as its a usb audio device idk its wierd i lost midi recording once  after switching a sound card and somehow got it back but dident have the magic jack plugged in then. Im using soanr x1 producer and i am not seeing any lights flashing in the sys tray like i had before i had seen 2 lights go off when id press a snare or cymbal now i get nothing?? i bet if i unplug magicjack ill all the sudden get midi audio recording again. Now not to be confused i hear everything when i press keys piano etc but its not recording live no waves  on the audio track just straight lines

    i bet if i unplug magicjack ill all the sudden get midi audio recording again.
